Hairy no more

As you all know, Sylas was blessed with enough hair to share. Today on two separate occasions, I heard "Ooohhh, SHE is so cute!". Of course, I thought they were directing the compliment at me, but then reality set in hard and I realized they thought Sylas was a girl! Thank goodness Sam did not hear this, as he surely would have set them straight. Now Sylas was not even dressed in green, but a very boyish brown surfboard onsie. We determined it must be his long locks. Although I had previously thrown around the idea of cutting his hair, I just had not been able to do it. He was just a BABY, with baby hair, no need to cut baby hair! But I guess today would be the day. I put him on a towel, found the scissors and comb, took the "before" picture (see above), and then slowly started to trim. At least he was still smiling after....

  1. Sylas has such a sweet smile.

Landon, too, had long hair that needed trimming. Though I tried to at least trim the bangs, I didn't do a very good job. THen, I decided it was time for a haircut. I got out my husbands clippers, read the directions thoroughly and had at it. I couldn't believe the difference - he went from looking like a baby to a little boy!

  4. I am sorry...but I have to admit that I am partial to little boys with short hair so I love that he got a haircut!!! Although I need to see a picture of him sitting up better so I can see the top of his head :) And boy are you brave to cut it yourself. I have always been afraid to touch any of my kids hair.

  9. Great job with the haircut Elena! Tyler really needs one right now too, and he hates going to the salon. I wish I trusted myself to do it on my own. I can't believe Sylas is 5 months, and he is doing so great. Wonderful news!
